Music teachers across the greater Bexar county area will soon be able to make plans to attend an exciting, interactive concert with the South Texas Symphonic Orchestra at the Tobin Center on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Students will hear a fun-filled, interactive full symphonic educational concert at 10:00 AM or 12:00 PM. Your students will learn about major and minor keys, and hear each section of the orchestra.
The cost? Nothing - we want to make this concert available to all music teachers and students throughout the area regardless of their ability to pay. Each concert will be 55 minutes long.
Prior to the concert, each music teacher will receive TEKS-based lesson plans to help prepare your students for the concert. After the concert, each teacher will be asked to record a one minute video talking about how their classes responded to the orchestra's presentation.
